Outlook 12/23: U.S. stock futures are pointing a higher open, after they had been lower for much of the evening and overnight period. The reversal followed President Donald Trump's surprising attack on the coronavirus stimulus bill after months of negotiations. Jobless claims rose less than expected last week as employers weighed a wintertime spike in Covid-19 cases against expected relief from a pending $900 billion stimulus package, according to a Labor Department report.
