Outlook 12/17: U.S. stock futures rose on Thursday as traders kept an eye on Washington, looking for clues about the prospects of additional fiscal aid. Today's data showed jobless claims totaled 885,000 last week, hitting their highest level since early September as the number of Covid-19 infections surged around the U.S. Economists expected 808,000 workers sought state jobless benefits during the week ended Dec. 12.
