Wait and see

Outlook 01/10: U.S. stock futures are little changed Wednesday, with investors awaiting the release of fresh U.S. inflation data and earnings. The latest consumer price index report is slated for release Thursday. Economists expect CPI rose 3.2% year over year in December. Investors will look through the reports for clues on when the Federal Reserve may start cutting rates. Some of those expectations have been dialed back in recent days, although the odds hover at around 64%. Earnings heats up Friday with results from major financial heavyweights including JPMorgan Chase and Bank of America.

/ESH24 (MAR 2024): YVAH 4799 YPOC 4796 YVAL 4780 GAP 4792

/ES Plan: Yesterday market closed bullish (PBT 4825), but overnight looks balanced, moving within previous value, so these're the opening and initial balance options for today:

A) If market moves above HVE 4791 with bullish internals, buy towards YVAH 4799 ONH-YHOD 4804 HVE-GAP 4813 and PBT 4825.

B) If market moves below HVE 4791 with bearish internals, sell towards ONL 4786 YVAL 4780 YLOD 4767 HVE 4744 GAP 4737.

Note: Market opens in balance. Don't be 'too anxious'. Let the market lead. You don’t have to be the first. Bad trades occur when you try to force things to happen.
