GDP report

Outlook 04/25: U.S. stock futures fell sharply Thursday after the latest U.S. economic data showed a sharp slowdown in growth and pointed to persistent inflation. U.S. gross domestic product expanded by 1.6% in the first quarter. Economists forecast GDP growth would come in at 2.4%. Following the GDP print, traders moved down expectations for an easing of Federal Reserve monetary policy. The softer first read of Q1 GDP could shift the Fed’s timetable for initiating the rate easing cycle, with July coming back into play. Meta’s report raises concern ahead of other big tech releases. Microsoft and Alphabet are slated to post earnings after the close Thursday.

/ESM24 (JUN 2024): YVAH 5121 YPOC 5112 YVAL 5097 GAP 5086.25

/ES Plan: Yesterday market closed bearish, and overnight, after GDP report, offers a liquidation break, moving well below yesterday's value/range, so these're the opening and initial balance options for today:

A) If market moves above HVE 5050 with bullish internals, buy towards HVE 5060 YLOD 5073 GAP 5086 and YVAL 5097.

B) If market moves below HVE 5050 with bearish internals, sell towards VPOC 5030 GAP 5004 HVE 4963 and HVE 4933.

Note: Overnight inventory is 100% bearish. The expected action is a counter-auction; failure to see the counter-auction would be an indication of potential bearish trend day. Market opens below value and if it begins to trade within value, VAR comes into play.
