Solid data

Outlook 09/26: Stock futures rebound on solid economic data, quelling fears that perhaps the Federal Reserve is cutting rates aggressively because of the economy slowing. Initial jobless claims for the week ending Sept. 21 totaled 218,000, a decrease of 4,000 from the previous period and slightly better than the 223,000 estimated. Orders for long-lasting “durable goods” orders for items such as aircraft, appliances and computers, were little changed for August, better than the estimate for a 3% decline. Gross domestic product rose at a 3% annualized rate in the second quarter. That was in line with market expectations.

ESZ24 (DEC2024): YVAH 5794 YPOC 5789 YVAL 5778 GAP 5784

/ES Plan: Yesterday market closed bimodal, but overnight looks more bullish (PBT 5857), moving above previous value/range, so these're the opening and initial balance options for today:

A) If market remains above ON-VAL 5818 with bullish internals, buy towards ONH 5829 and PBTs 5857-5867 magnet.

B) If market moves below ON-VAL 5818 with bearish internals, sell towards HVE 5799 GAP 5784 magnet and YVAL 5778.

Note: Overnight inventory is 100% bullish. The expected action is a counter-auction at 10AM sequence; failure to see the counter-auction would be an indication of potential bullish trend day.
