CPI report

Outlook 12/11: Stock futures jump after November inflation report comes in as expected. November’s consumer price index, which tracks a basket of goods and services, was in line with expectations. The reading showed a 0.3% rise from October and 2.7% increase from a year ago. Excluding volatile food and energy prices, core CPI increased 0.3% on the month and 3.3% on an annual basis. While this inflation data represented a quicker pace from the prior month, traders speculated it was hot high enough to keep the Federal Reserve from cutting rates at its December meeting next week. Fed funds futures are pricing in a more than 87% likelihood that the central bank lowers rates.

/ES Plan: Yesterday market closed bearish, but overnight, after CPI data, looks more bullish, still moving within previous value, so these're the opening and initial balance options for current session:

A) If market moves above YVAH 6073 with bullish internals, buy towards GAP 6098 magnet TH 6111 and PBT 6125 magnet.

B) If market moves below YVAH 6073 with bearish internals, sell towards YPOC-HVE 6062 YVAL 6056 and GAP 6052 magnet.

Note: Market is near a long term target (6125) so we could see a last rally towards that major level. Keep in mind that market needs an excess high to call a top and a potential major reversal.
