FOMC day

Outlook 01/28: Stock futures tick higher on Wednesday ahead of the Federal Reserve’s interest rate decision and earnings reports from major tech companies. The Fed is widely expected to keep its benchmark interest rate steady at a target range of 3.5% to 3.75%, but traders will be seeking hints on longer-term changes to monetary policy. Fed funds futures trading suggests two quarter percentage point cuts by the end of 2026. Earnings from a slate of major technology companies are on deck. Microsoft, Meta Platforms and Tesla are set to post their quarterly financial results Wednesday after the closing bell. Apple will post its results on Thursday.

ESH26 (Mar2026): YVAH 7017 YPOC 7014 YVAL 7001 GAP 7007

/ES Plan: Yesterday market closed bullish, and overnight after ptinted new record high, looks balanced still moving above previous value/range, so these're the opening and initial balance options for current session:

A) If market moves above HVE-YHOD 7020 with bullish internals/delta, buy towards ATH-ON 7043  and PBT 7045 magnets.

B) If market moves below HVE-YHOD 7020 with bearish internals/delta, sell towards GAP 7007 and YVAL-VAR 7001 magnets.

Note:  If market opens above value and it begins to trade within value, VAR setup comes in play. Keep in mind new record high has been printed overnight, so it's still pending to be revisited at RTH. FOMC days are two separate sessions. The AM session tends to involve a tightening price range and lower activity. Trade setups that work well in the AM, may fail completely in the afternoon, resulting in significant losses. Today is NOT the day to trade aggressively.
