Friday OPEX

Outlook 08/21: Stock futures rise on Friday as investors tried to find their footing following a steep sell-off driven by rising Treasury yields. Gold futures climbed to a three-month high Friday on a soft dollar as investors weighed the Treasury’s liquidity move to double bond buybacks for 10- to 30-year government debt. Longer-dated U.S. government bond yields steadied on Friday. Yields on the 30-year U.S. Treasury note, the primary focus of the buyback plan, was flat at 5.2371%. The 10-year U.S. Treasury yield, the key benchmark for mortgages, auto loans and credit card debt, was largely unchanged at 4.6882%.
