Outlook 10/08: The U.S. is blacklisting a group of Chinese tech companies that develop facial recognition and other artificial intelligence technology that the U.S. says is being used to repress China's Muslim minority groups. The blacklisting comes just a few days before Chinese and U.S. negotiators meet for another round of high-level trade talks. U.S. stock futures turned sharply lower following the decision, as China signaled it would hit back over the measures and "urged the U.S. side to immediately correct its mistake."
