Outlook 01/16: U.S. stock index futures rose on Thursday after Morgan Stanley reported quarterly figures that easily topped analyst expectations while investors digested a key trade agreement between China and the U.S. Even if China agrees to begin negotiations for a phase two agreement, it will likely demand that the US roll back all tariffs prior to talks, an advisor to the Chinese Ministry of Commerce told the Global Times.
