Bumpy start

Outlook 01/08: U.S. stock futures are flat on Monday after its first losing week in 10 as mega-cap tech stocks such as Apple under performed, and Treasury yields rose. Markets consolidated after the year-end rally, following a dovish pivot from Federal Reserve, had investors concerned equities are now overbought. A hot December jobs report, as well as Fed meeting minutes this week that indicated elevated uncertainty around the path of rate cuts, added to those worries. This week, traders will get greater clarity into the path of rate cuts from the central bank. December consumer price index is set for release Thursday, while the producer price index is due out on Friday, will show whether the Fed’s efforts to bring inflation down to its 2% are taking hold.

/ES Plan: Last session market closed balanced, and overnight continues on that way, moving within previous value, so these're the opening and initial balance options for today:

A) If market moves above HVE 4724 with bullish internals, buy towards ONH-HVE 4744 YVAH 4746 and YHOD 4760.

B) If market moves below HVE 4724 with bearish internals, sell towards YVAL 4719 ONL 4715 and YLOD-HVE 4702.

Note: It's Monday and Mondays are usually the quietest days of the week. Many traders want to take their time analyzing the market, and usually, there are few economic releases.  Market opens in balance. Don't be 'too anxious'. Market is seeking new information. Let the market lead. You don’t have to be the first. Bad trades occur when you try to force things to happen.
