A bumpy ride

Outlook 02/10: Stock futures rise to start the week as traders navigate latest U.S. tariffs threat. Trump told reporters on Sunday that he’s planning to announce a blanket 25% tariff on all steel and aluminum imports on Monday. Trump did not specify when the tariffs would be imposed and noted that he would also issue retaliatory tariffs on countries that tax U.S. imports. The threat of more tariffs comes ahead of a slew of economic data this week. The January consumer price index report is due out Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. ET, followed by initial weekly jobless claims and the producer price index on Thursday. Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell will also speak before Congress.

ESH25 (MAR2025): YVAH 6085 YPOC 6052 YVAL 6044 GAP 6051.25

/ES Plan: Last session market closed bearish, but reopening looks bullish (PBT 6117), still moving within previous value, so these're the opening and initial balance options for current session:

A) If market moves above YVAH 6085 with bullish internals, buy towards PBT 6117-6130 magnets and ATH-RTH 6064.

B) If market moves below YVAH 6085 with bearish internals, sell towards GAP 6051 and YVAL-VAR 6044 magnet.

Note: If market opens above value and it begins to trade within value, VAR comes into play.
