Jobs report

Outlook 09/04: Stock futures fall after much stronger-than-expected jobs report. Nonfarm payrolls grew 162,000 last month, much more than the 53,000 that economists expected. The unemployment rate held steady at 4.1%, as expected. On top of last month’s gain, figures for both June and July saw upward revisions. Treasury yields were broadly higher across the curve following the report, with the 2-year yield hitting its highest level since January 2025, as expectations that the Federal Reserve could hike interest rates increased.

/ES Plan: Yesterday market closed bullish (PBT 7848), but overnight, after NFP, turns to bearish side, moving within value, so these're the opening and initial balance options for current session:

A) If market moves above HVE 7737 with bullish internal/delta, buy towards YVAH 7766 and VPOC 7794 magnet.

B) If market moves below HVE 7737 with bearish internal/delta, sell towards YVAL 7715 and GAP 7680 magnet.

Note: It's 'Capital Preservation Friday'. Try to be calm and focus rather than thinking about your P/L Fridays and ends of months are rebalanced days for funds managers to open or close their large positions. Keep in mind U.S. markets will be closed on Monday for the Labor Day.
