FOMC day

Outlook 10/28: Stock futures mixed on Wednesday as investors awaited a rate policy decision from the Federal Reserve due Wednesday and earnings reports from mega-cap technology companies. SP500 futures add 0.2%, Nasdaq rise 0.3% but Dow are down 21 points, or 0.04%. Focus will turn to domestic monetary policy as the Fed wraps up its two-day policy meeting. The central bank is widely predicted to keep interest rates steady at a target rate range of 3.75% to 4%. Policymakers raised rates by a quarter percentage point at their September meeting. According to FedWatch tool, there’s a roughly 90% chance that the Fed maintains the current interest rate, but some expect that Kevin Warsh will signal that more hikes are coming in future policy meetings.

ESZ26 (Dec2026): YVAH 7773 YPOC 7757 YVAL 7734 GAP 7760 IVR 102

/ES Plan: Yesterday market closed bullish (PBT 7814), and overnight continues on that way, moving around previous value high, so these're the opening and initial balance options for current session:

A) If market moves above YHOD-YVAH 7773 with bullish VIX/CVD, buy towards GAP 7800 HVE-PBT 7814 and GAP 7857 all magnets.

B) If market moves below YHOD-YVAH 7773 with bearish VIX/CVD, sell towards YVAL-VAR 7734 YLOD 7700 and GAP 7667 magnet.

Note:  Keep in mind that FOMC days are two separate sessions. The AM session tends to involve a tightening range and lower activity. Trade setups that work well in the AM, may fail completely in the afternoon, resulting in significant losses. Today is NOT the day to trade aggressively.
